Meet MamaRika

Eastern Europe has pumped out some phenomenal talent over the past decade. Everyone from Swedish singer Zara Larsson to the OG SoundCloud rapper Yung Lean, the ethereal Agnes Obel, the experimental Viking-inspired band, Heliung, and of course the notorious AURORA! Amongst all of Eastern Europe’s wicked and ever-evolving entertainment industry, Ukrainian singer-songwriter MamaRika. Holding an impressive repertoire as a strong vocal competitor from age 14, she later became a vocal teacher!

MamaRika has worked consistently to become more than just a beautiful face in the music industry; holding music industry business knowledge to match her choral expertise. With a soul similar to R&B singer Amerie, the tonal range of Rita Ora, and an eccentric vibe all of her own, MamaRika refuses to shy away from being her most authentic self!

Her lyrics range in inspiration from highlighting divine femme empowerment, womanhood in a digital age, underground party culture, and self-imagery. MamaRika mixes and matches synthesizers with her variations of popular underground electronic beats, sometimes rapping and other times singing to upscale tunes.

She’s been highly noted as one of Ukraine’s most recognized successful female artists, racking up over 1 million views on YouTube with her music video for the hit single, Paparazzi. In her lyricism, artistry, and overall flare, MamaRika reflects her complete adoration for her country and her people. Recently with the tide turn of Russian attacks against Ukraine, she has found time to draw as much attention as possible to the desperate needs of Ukrainians.

With new songs like Kava and Ha Pykak, she has made an effort to constantly redirect her fans, old and new to resources for Ukraine going as far as to edit almost all of her music videos to showcase a message pleading to fans and viewers to aid in stopping the war that’s destroying her home country.
